Pralhad Joshi took charge as India's new Union Education Minister

After protest organised by CJP and students at Jantar Mantar Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his resignation to Prime Minister. The President Murmu accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. 

Now, Union Minister Mr. Pralhad Joshi took charge as New Union Education Minister with immediate efffect. He has already been handling the responsibilities of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.

After 37 day protest lead by Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down and resigned from his post. Cockroach Janta Party announced withdrawal of protest and asked the students to go to their respective homes. They made this decision after Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and central government accepted their all demands including compensation for deceased students after NEET paper leak and withdrawal of FIRs on protesters. 

About Mr. Pralhad Joshi 

Prahlad Joshi is BJP leader and Loksabha MP from Dharwad (Karnataka) constituency. It's his 6th time as MP from Dharwad. He is born on 27 Nov 1962 in Vijayapura, Karnataka. He served as state president of BJP from 2014 to 2016. Mr. Prahlad has been serving the public for a very long time. MP of Dharwad since 2004 and also was member of panel of chairpersons of the parliament. 

Mr. Joshi currently holding many major portfolios:

  • Ministry of Education (additional)
  • Ministry of New and Renewable Energy
  • Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution

What is the qualifications of new education minister?

Mr. Pralhad completed his schooling from Railway school and New English School Hubballi. Got graduation degree from Shri Kadasiddheshwar Arts College Hubballi and worked as industrialist before entering in the politics. 

Why CJP withdrawing the protest?

CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka discussed with Mr. J P Nadda & Mr. Jitendra Singh. They placed their demands before J.P. Nadda.
Mr. Nadda said that Central Government had accepted demands of protesters. After that CJP has announced the withdraw of protest.
